One lac Tree plantation in Sirajgonj

Beacon of Light has taken the initiative to plant one hundred thousand trees in Sirajgonj District for the betterment of the environment.
While Sirajgonj is a low-lying area, prone to floods, the need of tree plantation is higher as there is a lot of soil erosion. The environment is continually being polluted and trees being cut down to make for farmland. The river is then claiming this land during the monsoon season and the people are being displaced, so the cycle begins again. In order to stop the river from claiming any more land and to stop soil erosion, the 1 lac (100,000) tree plantation is essential.

Beacon of light will distribute plants free of cost, but only one condition applies --people must not cut trees for a certain period of time, when they cut the tree; they must plant an increased number of trees. Of course, Beacon of Light will support the tree plantation.
