Support Programs

You can support Beacon of Light by any means; we are constantly in need of funds to run the numerous projects. Sponsoring a child or a tree or a one-time donation all help to provide a Beacon of Light to a child’s otherwise dull future.

During the monsoon seasons, it is very difficult for the students to come to school as all roads and houses get flooded. The whole area becomes a vast body of water where the sewers systems merge with clean waters, creating a fatal health and life hazard, each year hundreds die due to water borne diseases, drowning and snake bites. The school is then used as a shelter for the poor people, students and their families, but funds are needed every season to provide these people with food, dry clothes, drinking water, healthcare and medication.

There are Many brilliant and meritorious students who, due to lack of money give up studies to work in factories, farms and homes to earn a meager income to support their family. Children as young as eight works in grueling conditions, up to 12 hours a day, but a small donation will help this child to go back to school, hence provide a better future for them.
